For Practice:
At least 1000 rounds of 22 LR ammunition to practice with.
For Hunting land animals
Small Game:
There is NO- THERE ISN’T ANY “clean” small game in the USA nor Canada. The absolute smallest biblically clean game you'd hunt in USA/Canada is a Mountain goat, pronghorn antelope or young white-tailed deer doe/fawn (~35–60 kg).
Anything smaller (rabbits, foxes, cats, squirrels) is not clean and is forbidden. Leviticus 11 and Deuteronomy 14.
Biblical cleanness for land animals requires split hooves + chewing the cud. (the official “clean meat list”):
